Testing Critical Infrastructure Applications Using Global Delivery Models
Sagar Gollapudi

About the Topic

Testing re-architected highly secure infrastructure applications for password reset and voice authentication is complex and different from testing traditional business application. Some of the detailed infrastructure configurations of the legacy production deployment are often unknown during testing. This leads to challenges in defining comprehensive test cases with 100% coverage. Adopting the right testing techniques is critical for successfully testing these applications. Modeling test data based on real production scenario, defining negative test types, and performing exploratory testing of legacy code can help to reveal new test scenarios in the absence of requirements and the detailed infrastructure configuration. Incorporating agile techniques leads to speed of overall delivery by balancing integration and final system test. Finally, deploying a global test delivery leads to the right prioritization of expensive cross boundary integration effort and reduces the critical path within the project.
