Test Cases Written by Business Analysts

About the Topic

Some companies have started to have business analysts to write test cases for their testing teams. Why? Because the business analysts are writing acceptance criteria anyway, why not having them write test cases at the same time? It saves the testing team’s time from developing test cases which are derived from the acceptance criteria from business analysts. Saving testing team’s time will allow testers to do faster test execution so that releases are faster to market.

We are organizing a round table discussion with the industry experts, like yourselves, about this topic:
  • What does this mean to testing teams?
  • What are the pros and cons of this possible new trend?
  • With TDD and BDD in Agile, and business analysts use tools like Specflow or Cucumber which 4 can generate the start of automated scripts, will companies ever need a dedicated testing team?
  • Will this become a new trend for the future of software quality assurance?
  • And more….
This is your opportunity to contribute to the Chicagoland QA community!
