Based on Transparency Market Research (TMR), the market for test automation in North America is spiraling from $5.70 billion in 2015 with an expected to grow to $29.78 billion by 2024. Functional testing is expected to be highest during this forecast period followed by mobile and Software as a Service (SaaS) on cloud testing. There is a wide variety of commercial and open source tools for test automation with pros and cons for consideration when evaluating and selecting automated tools. In the open source community Selenium is the current leader based on job trends. Selenium was originally developed by Jason Huggins in 2004 as an internal tool at ThoughtWorks and was open sourced for further development through the Selenium WebDriver project in 2007 and Selenium Grid in 2008.
Join the panelists to learn about the capabilities of Selenium and how they successfully have used Selenium for test automation. Each panelist will share their experience with Selenium in general, as well as explain a specific component of their Selenium framework that they have evolved as a best practice. Following the panel, you will have the opportunity to meet with the panelists in breakout sessions for more detailed discussions and demos of their Selenium solutions.
