Elysia Lock & Karlin Kappala, Slalom Build
Creating automated UI tests that are ready and scalable for your CI/CD pipeline is essential for continuous testing of iOS applications. Whether you are a software developer, SDET, QA engineer or a ‘newbie’ to automated testing, this hands-on workshop will make you better equipped with knowledge on why XCUITest is a great tool for UI testing of iOS apps. Download a boilerplate project from GitHub, bring your Mac, and get ready to write your first automated test running on a simulator. We’ll include tips on CI/CD integration and executing tests on a range of physical and simulated iOS devices and device clouds. A basic familiarity with XCode, iOS, and automated testing will help participants get the most out of this workshop. Eager newbies are encouraged to attend and will be provided help along the way. Attendees will leave with a simple, working iOS application and automated test.
Come prepared: set up XCode 10 on your Mac and download the “Workshop Boilerplate App” from https://github.com/elock?tab=projects.
