10 Principles of Smart Requirements Gathering
David Heidt
About the Topic
Today's conventional approaches to requirements gathering have real limits when it comes to giving technical engineers and QA professionals what they need to design and verify that solutions meet stakeholders’ needs. Additionally, the agile development movement and IT-centric methods for designing software solutions don't accurately represent how business processes, rules, events, knowledge and human to system interaction fit together. This results in an incomplete representation of a business solution’s behavior. This session walks through requirement techniques and tools that an organization needs to adopt to put their business analysis efforts on the track towards creating business solutions that can be verified against stakeholder needs.
Learning Objectives
How to categorize requirements in a way that has meaning to engineers and testers
What are the three tools to increase the quality and rigor of requirements deliverable
Ten job-relevant business analysis principles for doing better requirements
