Beyond Code: When AI Speaks Your Language in Testing
About the Topic
This presentation demonstrates how Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI transform test automation by eliminating coding barriers. A near total elimination of page object models allows anyone to describe user actions like "Click Add to Cart" to create automated tests. This shifts test creation from programmers to Business Analysts and manual testers.
Generative AI not only creates test suites but intelligently maintains tests as applications evolve. AI validates images contain expected results and describes issues in detail. Self-healing capability allows tests to adapt to GUI changes through context rather than rigid selectors, eliminating complex xPath and CSS locators.
The future is today with Plain English syntax and AI reducing maintenance needs. This hybrid approach follows the Pareto Principle: non-technical users can create 90% of test cases from step descriptions alone, letting QA engineers focus on 10% of specialized scenarios requiring coded solutions.
The outcome? Reduced maintenance increases test coverage with improved reliability through AI-powered automation.
